Can you really remove makeup with just water? +
Yes. Deep-pile microfibre lifts makeup off the surface of the skin and holds it in the pile, rather than dissolving it the way a cleanser does, so warm water is enough to load the fibres and rinse them clear.
Does it work on waterproof mascara? +
It does, and it takes several passes rather than one. Press and roll upwards along the lash line rather than rubbing back and forth, then a final wipe to finish. We've filmed it uncut on the homepage so you can see exactly how long it takes.
Can it remove SPF? +
Yes. SPF and heavier bases come off the same way: warm water, light pressure, and a few passes rather than one.
Do I still need a cleanser afterwards? +
It replaces the wipes, the pads and the cloth. If you use a cleanser you like, or one prescribed for your skin, keep it, this is the step before it, not instead of it.
Why a glove rather than a cloth or pad? +
A flat cloth can only press. A glove lets your own fingertips do the work, into the crease beside your nose, along the lash line, around the ears, the places a pad can't reach.
Should I use warm or cold water? +
Warm. It opens the pile and softens makeup, so the fibres lift rather than drag.
Can I use it if I don't wear makeup? +
Yes, the same plush microfibre sweeps away the day's dirt, oil and grime during a morning or evening cleanse. Most people end up using it both ways.
Does it exfoliate? +
No. It lifts what's sitting on the skin. It isn't an exfoliant and shouldn't be used as one.
Can I use it in the shower? +
You can, but it will pick up more product, so rinse it thoroughly afterwards and wash it sooner than you otherwise would. At the basin is easier.
Is it suitable for sensitive-feeling skin? +
There's no fragrance, no preservatives and no product at all, just fabric and warm water. If your skin is currently broken, irritated or healing, or you have an eye condition, check with your GP or dermatologist first.
I have lash extensions, is it safe? +
Press and roll gently along the lash line rather than rubbing back and forth. Deep-pile fabric can catch on extensions if you drag it.
How do I clean it? +
Rinse under warm water after every use until it runs clear, squeeze gently, then lay it flat or peg it to an airer. The rinse clears the day's makeup; it won't lift mascara out of the pile. That's what the weekly 30° machine wash is for, in a laundry bag, with a little detergent and never softener.
Why can't I use fabric softener? +
It coats the pile and stops it gripping makeup, the single thing that stops a microfibre glove doing its job. Everything else is forgiving.
Will it go smelly? +
Only if it's stored damp. Dry it fully every time, laid flat or pegged up, and it won't.
Will it stain? +
Between washes, yes, mascara especially. That's the pigment that came off your face sitting in the pile, and a rinse won't shift it. A 30° machine wash will. We've put a Blush pair through with mascara, foundation and blusher worked into it and it came out clean.
Why would I need more than one? +
One is in use while the other dries. Most people keep one by the mirror for makeup and one by the sink for a morning cleanse.

Unused items can be returned within 14 days of delivery, in line with UK distance selling rules. Email us and we'll sort it, no forms to chase.
Which colour should I choose? +
They're identical in every way but colour. Midnight hides pigment best, Cloud shows you exactly what came off, and the rest sit somewhere in between; pick a mood, not a formula.
Is it good for travel? +
No bottles and no liquids, so nothing to declare and nothing to leak. It packs flat and dries quickly.
